Proposal
For my individual project I would like to learn about the history and how psychology has changed over the years. My main focus would be on the way mental illness is treated and what the process is in treating these people. Sources Please list your sources in MLA format
Research Outline
Different types of mental illness outline
A. Schizophrenia:
1. Social withdrawal and hallucinations -Symptoms
2. This disease can be caused by emotional trauma or simply caused by extreme stress
3. Mention Sybil: the girl with 16 personalities 4. This can be treated with medications and therapy but 1 out of 5 people with
this disease recover.
B. PTSD (( Post traumatic stress disorder))
1. PTSD is not only caused from war. It can be from any serious traumatic experience
2. Flashbacks, nightmares, loss of interest of life -Symptoms
3. This disease could also be caused from hereditary problems.
4. Early treatment for this is better than waiting
C. ADHD
ADHD can be found in adults as well as children.
Having this disorder does not mean being hyperactive, some people are spacey and unfocused
3. Get into a set schedule if you have this disease and make sure to see your
doctor because everybody has it differently.
4. People with ADHD cannot help how they are no matter how hard they try.
